In the busy and ambitious world where people run a race to achieve success, it seems very hard to be fit and healthy. After a long run of life, I have learned that achieving success and being healthy are the best complements to each other. When people go ahead to win their goal with hard work for long hours, most of them lose their health and they complain that overwork has brought them to their bad health. But I am sure bad health is not a consequence of hard work, it is instead a result of useless wastage of mental energy. If a well-decided goal is pursued with a systematic way assimilating the following things, multiple stresses and health loss can be avoided.
1. Set goal and preferences of life
There are different ways one can live this life, so to make it clear; I darkened the sketch of life’s goal. This is the first and foremost thing which lets me concentrate on my work without wasting time and energy. Without mind diversion, I value my preferences and devote time to them.
2. Make a list of works based on priority
For a year, month, week and even for a day, there can be many works to be accomplished that is why I make a list of works focusing on their importance and priority. The things or works with high priority are put on the top. All the works are in my list but these are scheduled as per the priority and time available. That is why I avoid the useless stress and do the wok interestingly.
3. Know brain’s capacity
I am realistic while knowing my own brain capabilities and while taking works in my hold to do. This is the positive point that makes me able to achieve goal step by step. The brain can handle only a short list of problems and thoughts together at the same time. That is why imposing overload on it in the single time can make the situation worse. I become realistic, go easy on myself, and never expect myself to carry solutions of all problems in my head at once
4. Have an external organizer
To avoid the stress of the multi-tasks in a particular time, I keep all things in an external organizing system. I don’t hold all the thoughts for working out my issues in my head. I use digital calendar reminders and hand-written to-do list to remind me of all my tasks, and thus I find much less stress weighing me down.
5. Be optimistic and develop positive attitude
I know most of us waste a big part of mental energy because of useless feelings and negative energy. Fears, doubts, and negative things always consume our energy and leave us with stress, restlessness and health break down. Remaining calm means controlling my own feelings and trust me it is possible. Just find a way to look on the bright side of situations, it will develop more positive outlook.
By practice, I train myself to be calmer in unfavorable situations by tackling negative thoughts head-on. When I come to the bad situation, I always remember two lines: This is not the end of the world. There is no problem without a solution.
6. Take care of your body
“Healthy mind lives in the healthy body.” This proven saying always goes right. I also consider it and work on it. Keeping body fit must be a priority for all of us. Nobody with a painful body can do their best. Proper diet, precautions, and treatment of diseases should be taken properly to stay healthy physically ensuring optimal cognitive function and mood.
7. Consult with experts
How to manage my feelings and emotions? How to manage my various tasks and how to manage my daily schedule? I found these questions necessarily to be answered. I found it great to consult with experts. During my life, I have always found some useful points in experts’ advice that has suggested me a better way to achieve my goal and to maintain health and fitness. That is why I never hesitated to reach out the trusted experts- health experts and business experts.
8. Meditation
A lot of problems, works and job responsibilities can create stress in mind and one can carry it from morning to the evening. I used to go to bed with a lot of stress in mind. It is harmful and can create many disorders and decrease mental power that is why I feel the need of putting a pause on the crisis. Breathing in, breathing out. Concentrate the mind on breathing and forget rest world. It’s a proven way that truly works. It clears the mind of worries and gives the energy to recalibrate it.
9. Be Patient and Present Minded
I focus on only the work that is in my hand. I don’t let my mind divert. I understand that not all problems are solved at a single time easily, but that they can be solved one by one. The solution is available for every problem, but it may take some time. I accept this, become patient and present-minded.
10. Have Balanced Diet
Living on imbalanced diet leads to unhealthy snacking and inconsistent energy. Food is a foundation of life that is why I never compromise with the quality of food. Most of the successful people make sure they regulate the foods maintaining the balanced diet as per their body requirement.
11. Daily exercise
Exercise is critical for conditioning of the body and long-term health. A successful person, who has guessed it well that without getting daily exercise is almost impossible to live healthy, adds 30 minutes exercise to his or her daily schedule. As most people get older, exercise is less. Trust me; I have learned this by the hard way to maintain daily exercise that makes me active.
12. Sound Sleep
The body requires rest to restore energy and to perform again at its best. A sound sleep is utmost necessary for your body. I train myself to avoid stress while going to bed at night. Happy mind and light stomach are essential things to bring you a sound sleep so that it can rejuvenate your mind.
