The growth of Online Stores [Infographic]

Lots of people around the world love going out shopping to their favorite stores. After all, it’s a great way to pass some time and hang out with friends. But it can also be a nightmare, especially during peak times and holidays.

There can be large crowds, lots of queueing and carrying heavy bags. It is not everyone’s idea of fun. Today, many more people are turning to online shopping and this trend is growing faster than ever before. Three times faster than offline retail, in fact, states the research of Shopping FM.

Over the last years, eCommerce and online shopping have been on the rise. More than ever, more people are ditching their shopping malls and heading online to buy what they need, even groceries.

It is undeniable that eCommerce is growing and that there has been a shift to online shopping.

Is this killing off physical stores? Well, not really.

Although there are many perks to online shopping, offline shopping is still alive and well. Just take a trip to your local shopping mall on a weekend and you’ll see what I mean.

However, eCommerce and online shopping is certainly growing and is set to overtake offline shopping in the next few years.
